Expansion of Shared Workspace
Feedback from the initial pilots has been very positive. We now want to see how Shared Workspace can be used within some of the other work we do.
We also want to ensure that we develop the best possible online service to offer our customers. To achieve this, during 2006, we will be expanding the use of the Shared Workspace to a number of our customer groups. The main expansion areas within HMRC are as follows.
- Large Business Service.
- Local Compliance (London and Cardiff).
- Local Compliance and The Office of the Special Commissioners.
- National Compliance (Complex Personal Returns and Expatriates).
- National Insurance Contributions Office (Pensions).
- Charity Assets and Residence.
If you are a customer dealt with by one of the above areas of HMRC then you may be asked to participate with Shared Workspace. For those customers, we would very much welcome and value your involvement.
For other customer groups, we hope to offer Shared Workspace more widely following full testing and evaluation of the expansions listed above.
