Plug-in
The plug-in is a small program that enables Shared Workspace users to utilise a variety of additional functions.
Features and benefits of the plug-in include
- Creating files - with the plug-in you can create files, such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint within Shared Workspace; without the plug-in, files have to be created locally and then uploaded into Shared Workspace.
- Drag and Drop - with the plug-in you can drag and drop files from your workstation into Rooms. There is however a size limit of 10Mb per file; without the plug-in you have to follow a specific procedure to browse for and select files to add to a Room.
- Rich Text Editing - with the plug in you can format text, insert pictures and links and check spelling; without the plug-in you can use plain text only.
- Calendar synchronisation - with the plug-in, calendar entries and tasks created in Shared Workspace can be synchronised with Outlook; without the plug-in, this synchronisation cannot take place.
